Its not about quality or desire..

The Big Three have been getting enough criticisms on a number of levels. One of the common themes is that they do not build cars that people want, or that the quality is sub par.

Bull.

Much in the way many would like to fly to Hawaii any time they felt like a tropical tan, its a matter of affordability.. not desire. Ask yourself... if you were in the market for a large comfortable car or SUV... Would you settle for a tin can if the costs were comparable?

Truth is always there.. Seek it out.

Carpe Diem had a really interesting graphic last week that showed it isn't necessarily what folks want to buy but what the Big 3 are able to take home after costs are figured.

They lag Toyota by over $5,000 per vehicle because of tax and labor structures.
